Park Time!!

I try to take Abigayle to the park at least once a day. I love to let her burn off some energy running around. So everyday, usually after her daddy gets home, we'll ask her. "Do you want to go outside?" In the sweetest little lisp in the world she says "Outsthide"

She finds her shoes. Then makes sure mommy & daddy have theirs on. She looks at us both & says "hand?" We go out the front, put her in her buggy & to the park we go!

I figured I'd share a few of the happy moments I get everyday with all my followers.

Mothers Day

One day a year just for all us mamas,
All day long in our pajamas.

No dishes, no laundry, no nap time fights,
Binge watching Netflix til' Midnight!

Shopping at the mall while Dads got the kids,
Score! Jack pot! Huge sale at Jared's!

Take a little stroll to a calming stream,
Alarm goes off, it was just a dream?

Mommy wake up, its your big day,
I've been quiet since 6, now its time to play!

Handmade cards, scrambled eggs with a crunch,
A big warm hug, aww thanks a bunch.

Bedtime comes, "Mommy I love you",
Being a mom is a dream come true.

Meet Aiden

A little bit of background before we start this fun filled story. When I gave birth to my daughter, Abigayle, I had 2 bags of water but only 1 baby. I was told most likely she had a twin that was absorbed early on in the pregnancy. For the sake of my sanity we gave this would be twin a name, Aiden. Moving on.

Let me start by saying I love my daughter to the moon & back. Shes the reason I wake up every morning & the smile when I go to sleep. The reason I strive to be the best person I can be. Shes my sunshine when the rain comes in & the 1 star sparkling in the city sky.

Sweet Abigayle
But then there's those times when her angelic face & nurturing soul transforms into someone, or something, we like to call Aiden. Aw yes. The trouble making, tantrum throwing, draw on everything & smirk, wont eat the vegetables, Aiden.

Aiden comes out in places he feels safest like the grocery store, a classy restaurant, the doctors office maybe even the library. I cant explain the joy this gives me because lets face it, I love the dirty looks and the snickers as Aiden growls at the onlookers. Who doesn't like a little audience? Am I right?

On average Aiden comes to visit 2-4 times a day. Some of my best times I have with Aiden are nap time & lunch! However my all time favorite, hands down, was the time I went to Outback with my darling Abigayle & ended the night with Aiden.

It started out like any other outing. My sweet ray of sunshine. All dressed up in her cowgirl boots and pig tails. Feeding her bits of bread. Across from us was a prim and proper family with their perfect little boy. He listened so well. Everything was going great until about 15 minutes in. Aiden came out to play & teach that perfect little boy a few tricks.

First comes the growl. OK mom keep your cool. Don't feed the demon. Mimi hand me the calculator. Abi loves calculators or things with buttons. I breath a sigh of relief. Wow! We're gonna make it. No Aiden in sight. A  few moments go by & there goes the calculator. Right at the perfect little family across from us. It hits the fathers ankle, I apologize in horror & he snarls.

Back at the table I knew my girl was in there. Abi, mommy's coming! Appetizers arrive. Here have a cheesy fry. She chows down. Meanwhile the perfect family is swatting the little boys hand for going for a knife. Maybe fracturing the mans ankle with her calculator wasn't so bad after all. Mommy point for me! Woot Woot.

I give Abi some more bread. She picks it up, I swear in slow motion, she tosses it at the table behind us. Oh no! He's back. OK stay calm. "I think the breads no good, she gave it to me" the gentleman at the targeted table says. Awe that was kind of him. He could of easily freaked! I giggle and apologize profusely. He giggles & starts talking to Aiden. Aiden growls. The man laughs. OK this isn't so bad.

Aiden Face
Main dishes are here! Yes finally! We're gonna make it! The waitress starts to disperse the meals. She hands me my steak & potatoes. Then it happens. Aiden grabs the waitress' back end & chuckles. I'm mortified. I muster up the courage to find one more "sorry" as I cover my mouth. She just smiles & says "No worries I have 3 kids myself" I just smiled back at her.

We managed to make it through the rest of the night as Abigayle slowly crawls back out into the world. I was so stressed that night. Why though? The more I think about that night, the more I wish I just let things roll off my chest. No one is the perfect parent & no one has a perfect child. I work with my daughter, Aiden too, everyday to make sure shes a positive body in society. Say thank you, bless you, pardon and please. Say it enough and they mimic it eventually.

The ones who stare or look as though they are perfect, are probably not as they seem, in private. So if my daughter shows her true colors in public & she wants to let Aiden show himself from time to time, I'm going to let her. Stare, laugh, point. It doesn't bother me anymore. I've finally realized people are people. Kids are kids. Whether you want to admit it or not, we all have a little Aiden in us somewhere & that's alright by me.

About My Little Herd

Hey Everyone
You can call me Kourtney, Snookums, Mummy or just simply "hey lady!" I come running to all of the above.

I'm a SAHM to my wonderful daughter Abigayle & married to my high school sweetheart Paul. We currently live in the land of Oz but are originally from the Sunshine State!

Abi, animals, cleaning, crafting, DIY(or with a little help), gardening, cooking, reality tv, make up & hair. These are just a few of my favorite things.

Abigayle 21 months
The reason I started this blog was to document mostly all the things I do in the day & my #1 in my life. My little doe, Abi Sue.  Abigayle has been a handful since the day I found out I was pregnant. She decided to wait 3.5 years before drawing those 2 perfect lines for us. Then you know the feeling you get after getting off a double loop roller coaster? She was so kind to give me that feeling for the 34 weeks she decided to cook in my tummy. She "gracefully" arrived 6 weeks early on July 6, 2013 @ 11:18 am. Weighing in at a wopping 5 lbs 9 oz & 15.75 inches long. Best moment in my life, hands down!  Shes now 22 months & healthy as a horse.

Now that you know a little bit about me & the herd I hope you stop by and visit again!
